A quieter hour

Sound baths in Glasgow for rest and relaxation

Life can be noisy, busy and demanding. A sound bath gives you time away from screens, responsibilities and everyday distractions.

If you’re searching for a sound bath near you in Glasgow, The Reset Room offers a calm, welcoming space in Bridgeton, close to Dennistoun, Glasgow’s East End and the city centre.

A sound bath is a gentle wellbeing experience. You do not need to stretch, perform or empty your mind. Simply get comfortable while live sound creates a calming atmosphere around you.

Some people come to switch off from stress or busy thoughts. Others enjoy sound meditation because they find silence difficult. Many simply want an hour with nothing to achieve.

What it is

A sound bath uses live sound — not water

A sound bath is a guided relaxation experience using live sound. It may also be called a gong bath or sound meditation.

You remain fully clothed while I play gong, Tibetan singing bowls, drums, chimes and other instruments. Together, they create changing layers of tone, rhythm and resonance.

Most people lie comfortably on a mat, but you can sit if you prefer. There is no right way to respond. You may feel deeply relaxed, notice quieter thoughts, drift in and out of sleep or simply enjoy listening.

A sound bath is not a medical treatment and does not replace healthcare. It is a calm, non-touch way to make space for rest.

Who it may suit

Why people choose a sound bath in Glasgow

Everyone experiences sound differently, so there is no expectation about how you should feel afterwards. People often come because they:

  • Feel mentally busy, overstimulated or under pressure
  • Find it hard to switch off
  • Prefer a non-touch wellbeing experience
  • Enjoy meditation but find silence challenging
  • Want time away from phones, noise and routine
  • Are looking for a calming experience with friends

Played live

Gong, Tibetan singing bowls, drums and chimes

Every sound bath is played live, so each session is different. I shape the session gradually, giving you time to settle before the sound builds and softens.

Press play and turn the sound on to hear the gong.

Come comfortable

What to wear and bring

Wear loose, comfortable layers. Your body temperature may drop while resting, so warm socks can be useful.

  • Yoga or exercise mat
  • Blanket and small pillow
  • Optional eye mask

Your booking information will confirm if any of these are provided. You remain fully clothed throughout.

Comfort and choice

Is a sound bath right for me?

Sound can feel intense for some people. Please contact me before booking if you have sound-triggered epilepsy, hyperacusis or another condition that may be affected by sound.

You can sit rather than lie down, choose a position further from the gong or leave at any time.

Ask Jodi before booking

Important: a sound bath is a complementary wellbeing experience, not medical treatment. If you are unsure whether a session is suitable, speak with an appropriate healthcare professional before attending.

Sound bath FAQs

Do I need experience to attend a sound bath?

No. Sound baths are suitable for complete beginners. There is no technique to learn, and everything is explained before the session.

Do I have to lie on the floor?

No. Most people lie on a mat, but you can sit if that is more comfortable. Let me know if you need help choosing a position.

What is the difference between a sound bath and a gong bath?

A gong bath usually focuses mainly on one or more gongs. A sound bath is broader and may include gong, Tibetan singing bowls, drums, chimes and other instruments.

What should I bring to a sound bath?

Wear comfortable layers and bring a mat, blanket and small pillow unless your booking information says these are supplied. You remain fully clothed.

Is it okay if I fall asleep?

Yes. Some people drift off, while others stay awake. Neither response is better or more correct.

How long does a sound bath last?

The live sound journey lasts approximately 60 minutes. Allow around 75 minutes in total for arrival, settling and a quiet finish.

How many people attend?

Sessions are kept small, with no more than 10 people, so the room stays calm and intimate.

Are sound baths suitable for everyone?

Sound can feel intense for some people. Please contact me before booking if you have sound-triggered epilepsy, hyperacusis or another condition affected by sound.
